Timeless Style: A Guide to Every Malloch's Knitwear Model
Share
Knitwear is a timeless wardrobe staple that is worth investing in. It can be used as a practical item of clothing, keeping you warm against the elements in the countryside, or be worn in a stylish manner. The versatility and longevity is not to be sniffed at.
Timeless style was the whole point when I started Malloch's. I didn't want to chase trends — I wanted to build a wardrobe of knitwear you could wear for years, made by people who've been perfecting their craft for generations. Every model we make earns its place in the range because it's built to last, both in construction and in style. Here's a guide to the full collection, so you can find the pieces that'll work hardest for you.
Fine Lambswool Knitwear
Our fine lambswool knitwear is the backbone of the brand — understated, versatile, and equally at home in the office or at the weekend. The Steadman is our perennial crew neck and v-neck, knitted in a premium 2-ply lambswool. The Kelly Sports Collar Jumper brings the same yarn to a sports collar silhouette we'd wanted to make since day one. And the Stewart Cardigan — one of my very first samples — has finally joined the permanent range, a genuinely easy layering piece for travel, the office, or home.
Superfine & Lightweight Knitwear
For something finer, the Preston is our superfine 1-ply lambswool crew neck — light enough to layer under tailoring, but still built to our usual standard. It sits within our lightweight knitwear collection alongside the Easton Merino Crew Neck, a cool-to-the-touch Merino sweater for the in-between seasons.
Chunky Knitwear
Our chunky knit jumpers are where we really lean into texture and weight. The Dean Crew Neck is our iconic soft chunky knit, while the Newman Roll Neck takes the same premium lambswool and adds a generous roll neck. For something with real robustness, the Kielder Fisherman's Jumper takes its cues from the fishermen who first wore heavy knits like it around the British coastline.
Shetland Knitwear
Our Shetland knitwear brings Ivy League character to the range in three distinct styles. The Kelso "Shaggy Dog" is brushed for extra depth and warmth; and the Kenmore is our chunkiest Shetland, with a slightly raised neckline built for the outdoors.
The Collaboration
We made the Cromford Polo Shirt in collaboration with fine-gauge knit specialists John Smedley — a vintage-inspired piece that brought two very different corners of British knitwear craft together.
Every model on this list is made using traditional techniques from mills and factories with hundreds of years of combined experience between them. That's not a marketing line — it's the reason these pieces are built to outlast a season, a trend, or a wardrobe clear-out. Browse the full knitwear collection to find your next one.
